Pilgrimage to Rome
This spring break, 30 students will travel to Rome with St. Kate’s President Andrea Lee, IHM; Father John Forliti, the University’s chaplain; and Laurie Svatek, director of Campus Ministry. The trip, promoted as a “Catholic Rome Pilgrimage with Sister Andrea,” attracted more than twice the number of expected students.
In addition to in-depth study of four female saints — St. Catherine of Alexandria, St. Catherine of Siena, Theresa of Avila and Claire of Assisi — the students will engage in prayer and explore key places that have helped shape the Catholic faith, including the Vatican.
