St. Kate's Complete Program for Transfer Students
Since its founding, St. Kate’s has empowered its students with the skills and employment options to improve their lives and make a difference in their communities. The recently launched St. Kate’s Complete bachelor’s completion program is an extension of that mission. It allows adult students to seamlessly transfer credits from partner schools and earn a bachelor’s degree in as little as two years.
This partnership currently includes Minneapolis Community & Technical College (MCTC) and Saint Paul College, and the University plans to grow this list of institutions. Both the College for Women and the College for Adults are involved in the program, which gives both women and men a chance to earn a bachelor’s degree at St. Kate’s.
“St. Kate’s has always valued making a college education a reality for the widest population possible,” says President Becky Roloff ’76. “While other schools are launching new efforts to make their programs more accessible, this concept isn’t new to St. Kate’s. We’ve been at it for 112 years!”
Under the new program, St. Kate’s will accept all MCTC and Saint Paul College credits from Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degrees, or the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum. Plus, students will receive support as they navigate the transfer process and the rest of their college career.
“As St. Kate’s has done for a long time, we will also offer tutoring and academic support, financial aid counseling and career counseling,” adds President Roloff. “Our message to community college students is, ‘We’ve got you!’”
